Work Package 11: Project Management and Coordination

Overall we adopt a systemic management approach in the RuDI project, focussed on innovation systems and networks. ; Because of the multilevel and multidimensional nature of the topic, the project pursues a strong multidisciplinary approach. Throughout implementation a close cooperation with practitioners from relevant institutions and stakeholders will be ensured. Project management and coordination will actively support the implementation of the RuDI project along these lines.

The specific objectives of this work package correspond with this principles:

  • to ensure an overall consistency of the work to be carried out; this will be done in close consultation with the Project Steering Group (PSG) consisting of the leaders of the ten national research teams in this project and representatives of the EU Commission;
  • to support all work package leaders in the planning and implementation of individual work packages, in order to ensure a smooth and efficient implementation (incl. a timely availability of all deliverables), and to ensure adequate linkages between work packages; results from one feeding into the other;
  • to secure linkages between project partners and full sharing of information, by stimulation of open communication between partners and between partners and stakeholders;
  • to facilitate the active involvement of key rural development actors, experts and stakeholders in the research process;
  • to provide a direct contact for the relevant Commission services for all communication and reporting.
